Yoav is now a Ph.D. candidate

Yoav Gichon has been accepted into the direct track to a Ph.D. In the past year and a half Yoav has been instrumental in the construction of our automated shock tube and has effectively managed the daily operations of our new lab as its first team member.

Yoav’s research will focus on the transient behavior of shock waves during significant disturbances, including shock reflection, shock–structure interaction, and shock interaction with complex geometries such as porous media.
