Yoav Gichon has been accepted into the prestigious direct track to a Ph.D. program. In the past 1.5 years, Yoav has been instrumental in the construction of our automated shock tube and has effectively managed daily operations in our new lab as the first team member. Yoav's research will focus on studying the transient phenomena of shock wave behavior during significant disturbances, including shock reflection, shock structure interaction, and shock interaction with complex geometries such as porous mediums. We look forward to the valuable contributions Yoav will make in these areas of study.
